Morning Routine: Bianca Valle

As we're constantly learning, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to wellness. In order to find the best personal health plan, it can take lots of research and fine-tuning habits. To highlight this journey, we’re starting at the very beginning of the day. By zooming into the morning routines of our faculty, alumni, and other members of the health community that we admire, we’ll showcase what works for them. In illuminating the difference and similarities of these routines, we hope you’ll find a tangible starting point with your healing.

For the first interview of this series, we spoke with Holistic Nutritionist and artist, Bianca Valle. After graduating AHN in 2019, she went on to foster a virtual community through her Nutrition Hotline—a donation-based check-in over the phone. From there she’s grown a loyal clientele and has constantly worked to build her IRL community through projects like her accessible NYC-based running group and through continuing to morph her artistry from nut butter collaborations to jewelry collections.

  1. I wake up.

  2. I go to the bathroom.

  3. On my way, I put water to boil for tea.

  4. I have a cup of black tea and follow my intuition.

  5. I may go for a run...

  6. …or journal...

  7. …or sit and answer emails.

  8. I never force anything.

What led you to this morning routine?

It has taken a few years I would say. I used to not have a routine at all, and I used to have a strict one. I now follow the path with the least resistance.

Did any ancient practices inspire you?

Sometimes I meditate, but only if I feel called to.

For you, what is the importance of following a morning routine?

I think many people get stuck on a routine because they think it is the healthiest thing to do. It can be, but do not limit yourself either. I have learned this the hard way.

Stay tuned for more Morning Routines from our AHN Community.
