Food as Medicine: Ancient Wisdom for a Modern Career
The Final Open House of Our 2026 Enrollment Season
Spring is asking something of us.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this season belongs to the Wood element—the Liver and Gallbladder awakening, sap rising, the body naturally wanting to shed what it stored through winter and move toward growth, clarity, and vision. It's one of the most potent moments in the year to attune to the wisdom of food as medicine. And one of the most powerful moments to ask: what am I ready to grow into?
This is our final open house of the 2026 enrollment season—and our most essential. If you've been feeling called to build a career in holistic health but haven't yet taken the step, this gathering is for you.
For nearly 40 years, the Academy of Healing Nutrition has trained practitioners in the most comprehensive integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and the longevity wisdom of cultures worldwide. Our graduates don't just learn about food as medicine—they embody it. They build practices rooted in it, and charge what they're worth because of it.
Join us for an intimate, live online experience that offers both a taste of our teaching and a clear path forward.
Part 1: Spring Medicine & Food as Medicine with Roger Green
AHN co-founder Roger Green—with over 40 years of experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine, longevity science, and holistic healing—guides us through one of the year's most significant seasonal thresholds:
The Wood element in spring: how the Liver awakens for vision, renewal, and gentle release
Why spring is not the time for harsh detoxification—and what to do instead
Seasonal foods and herbs that support the body's natural transition from winter's deep nourishment to spring's lighter vitality
The foundational principles of food energetics you'll master in our 12-month certification
How aligning with the seasons—not fighting them—is the foundation of lasting health
This is the kind of wisdom that doesn't age. The kind that transforms how you understand your own body—and the bodies of those you'll eventually serve.
Part 2: Building Your Sustainable Healing Practice
AHN Global Founder Patricia Lopez and Holistic Business Teacher Eden Connelly Tallarico join to share:
An honest preview of our comprehensive 12-month certification in TCM, Ayurveda, and food as medicine
How we integrate ancient wisdom with modern longevity science and real-world application
Proven pathways to building a sustainable, profitable healing practice—most career-focused graduates recoup their investment within 3–6 months
What sets AHN graduates apart—and why depth of knowledge is your most powerful differentiator
Exclusive enrollment offers available to attendees only
Part 3: From Student to Practitioner — In Conversation with Susie Woods
Hear from Susie Woods, AHN Class of 2018, holistic health practitioner, medicinal chef, and postpartum doula based in Jersey, Channel Islands.
When Susie came to AHN, her health was at an all-time low—debilitating chronic rhinitis and digestive issues had been dragging her down for years. What she found wasn't just a nutrition course. She found a way back to herself: a deep understanding of her own body in relation to the seasons and cycles of nature that continues to shape both her healing and her work with others today.
Through her practice, HARA, Susie now offers an integrative, whole-body approach—personalized nutrition, herbal support, somatic practices, seasonal cooking workshops, and retreat kitchen work—helping women restore balance between body and mind.
Her story is what's possible.
